Obtaining Accreditation
Obtaining Accreditation
To support you through the accreditation process, we also provide customised systems and tailored manuals designed to make achieving and maintaining accreditation simpler and more efficient.
Maintenance Management & Benefits
TransAg Compliance Co can assist you to become accredited under the following schemes:
Maintenance Management
If you are accredited in the Maintenance Management module, you must keep your vehicles well-maintained and follow all road transport laws. In some states, vehicles in this scheme don’t need to go through annual inspection stations, as long as they’re part of Maintenance Management. To get these benefits, the truck and trailers all need to be listed.
Benefits of Maintenance Management
- No need for annual inspections at government stations
- Longer vehicle life
- Fewer breakdowns, safer vehicles, and more reliable deliveries
- Lower risk of fines for faulty vehicles or equipment
Mass Management & Benefits
Mass Management
If you are accredited in the Mass Management module, you can access extra mass concessions. This means your vehicles can operate at Higher Mass Limits (HML) on the road, allowing you to carry more per trip.
Benefits of Mass Management include:
- Fewer trips by carrying heavier loads
- Up to 5% more mass above General Mass Limits
- Longer vehicle life and reduced maintenance costs
- Lower risk of penalties for mass offences
- Only the truck needs to be nominated, but once it’s used with a trailer, that trailer also becomes a nominated vehicle and must meet Accreditation Standards.
If you’re accredited in Mass or Maintenance Management, you must ensure:
- Drivers carry and present an interception report book when asked by an authorised officer
- Vehicles display a current accreditation label with an individual number
- You continue to follow the required standards and business rules
Basic Fatigue Management & Benefits
Basic Fatigue Management (BFM)
With Fatigue Management, you get more flexibility in how drivers manage work and rest hours.
Benefits include:
- More flexible hours with BFM
- Allows drivers to work up to 14 hours in 24 hours
- Gives operators more choice in when drivers can work or rest
- Flexibility is allowed only if fatigue risks are properly managed
